Hi guys! I am Kyle, I’m 16 years old and decided to create a blog about my home province, Guimaras. I created this blog to show other people how beautiful the island of Guimaras is. The blogs that I will show to you are some of them I didn’t visit yet personally but I just want to show the must-go places when you travel to Guimaras.
Guimaras Island is considered as one of the most visited exotic places in the Philippines. It’s located southwest of Panay Island and northwest of Negros Island. Apart from the recognition given to Guimaras Island as a home of sweetest mango fruits. Guimaras is also boasts as one of the popular travel island destinations in the Philippines, particularly among nature lovers and adventure seekers like me.
The island has often attracted attention to itself for its natures beauty. It is, without question, one of the safest solo backpacking destinations and most relaxing places to visit in Western Visayas region in the Philippines. It’s really not overly say when acknowledging Guimaras island as one of the most cloistered, serene and perfect island destination in the Philippines.
How to Get to Guimaras?
There are ferries from IloIlo wharf going to Jordan and Buenavista in Guimaras Island. The boat ride will take 15 minutes and costs as cheap as 15 PHP during day time and 22 PHP at night. If you are staying in Iloilo City, there are jeepneys, taxis and tricycles going to the wharf. It will take you 15-20 minutes to reach the wharf from the city.
My First Blog

Alubihod Beach Resort
Alubihod Beach in the island province of Guimaras may not have the powdery white sand of the beaches in Palawan or Boracay, but it has its own charm. The cream-colored shore, blue-tinged waters, and rock formations dotting the beach are picturesque in their own right. Relax, unwind, and rent a tricycle to explore the island or hop on a boat to explore nearby attractions.
So guys, that’s all for my first blog. Stay tune for more updates and I really encourage you to visit the island of Guimaras because there is really more to see here. If you are finding a place to relax, chill and enjoy Guimaras would be the perfect place to go.
